About Mark Herzlich
Mark Herzlich had a successful seven-year pro career with the New York Giants. Herzlich was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011 after playing college football for Boston College.
Born in Kirkwood, Missouri, in 1987, Herzlich attended high school in Pennsylvania where his outstanding senior year as linebacker resulted in being recruited by several top-notch schools, including Vanderbilt and UNC Chapel Hill. Multi-talented, Herzlich also received a lacrosse scholarship offer from John Hopkins University.
Choosing to attend Boston College, he excelled to such an extent that he could have opted out of his senior year as he was projected top-15 pick by many scouts for the 2009 NFL Draft. However, plans changed for Herzlich. He was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer and beat the odds by overcoming it and returning to the football field in 2010.
