About Amp Lee
Amp Lee is a former running back who spent time with four different NFL teams over nine seasons. He ended up making a greater contribution as a receiver out of the backfield. The San Francisco 49ers originally drafted him out of Florida State in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He has the distinction of catching Joe Montana’s last touchdown pass in San Francisco. Lee would have other great moments of success in the league like when he was named MVP of the St. Louis Rams in 1997 after catching 61 passes for 825 yards. Two seasons later, he got to take a ride with the Greatest Show on Turf on the way to a Super Bowl title. Following his career, Lee has had stints as a running backs coach for the Amsterdam Admirals and Berlin Thunder of the now-defunct NFL Europe and with the Los Vegas Locomotives of the also folded United Football League. He is currently the running backs coach with the youth training group Football University.
