About Ashley Farquharson
Ashley Farquharson is an American professional luger representing the United States in international competitions. A two-time Olympian, she competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing (finishing 12th in women's singles). She achieved a historic breakthrough at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, winning the bronze medal in women's singles luge on February 10-11, 2026. This made her only the second American woman to medal in the event, following Erin Hamlin's 2014 bronze, and the third U.S. singles luger overall to podium at the Games. Born in Sacramento, California, and raised in Park City, Utah, Farquharson discovered luge at age 11 through a Youth Sports Alliance after-school program. Her career highlights include three World Cup relay medals (one silver, two bronze), a 2021 U23 World Championship bronze, back-to-back USA Luge Norton National Championships (2023, 2024), and junior national titles (2017–2019).
