About Billy Kidd
Billy Kidd is an iconic American ski racer. He competed for the United States from 1962-1970. In 1964, he and his teammate, Jimmy Heuga, became the first American men to win alpine skiing Olympic medals. Kidd also competed at the 1968 Olympics, but did not medal. He won three career medals at the World Championships and capped his time as an amateur with a gold medal in the combined and a bronze in the slalom in 1970. Kidd went on to ski professionally for three years. He has been associated with the Steamboat Ski Resort for over four decades and currently serves as director of skiing. Kidd is part Native American and an honorary captain of the Native American Olympic Ski Team. He is a member of the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame. He regularly hosts ski outings for top Fortune 500 companies.
