About Billy Kilmer
After playing for UCLA for three seasons as the star quarterback and ending up fifth in the 1960 Heisman Trophy voting where he left among the top five in school history for passing and rushing yards, College Football Hall of Famer Billy Kilmer made his debut in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers. He began his career at running back, rushing for a total of 509 yards and 10 touchdowns in his rookie season. In 1967 Kilmer became the quarterback we remember him as today when he moved to the New Orleans Saints. Billy later wrapped up his 16 year career with the Washington Redskins and amassed 1,585 completions for 20,495 yards and 154 touchdowns. Those numbers earned him 2 All-Pro Selections, a Pro Bowl selection in 1972, as well as being named as one of the 70 greatest Redskins and being immortalized on the Redskins Ring of Fame.
