Boris Becker Biography

Boris Becker is a six-time Grand Slam singles champion and a former world No. 1 ranked tennis player.  Becker put his name on the map when he won Wimbledon at the age of 17 in 1985, making him the youngest winner in history.  He’d defend his title in 1986 and go on to win the Australian Open in 1991 and 1996, the US Open in 1989 and capture another Wimbledon title in 1989.   His other notable wins include Tour Finals championships in 1988, 1992 and 1995 and a WCT Finals title in 1988.  Becker added to his decorated career when he won a Gold medal in doubles at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.  During his singles career he posted a record of 713-214 and won an unprecedented 49 titles, and has been named one of the top 40 tennis players of all-time.  After retiring from tennis he remained in the spot light as a pro poker player, an successful actor and model, and as a tennis coach for several of the world’s top players.
