About Brian Snitker
Brian Snitker is the former Atlanta Braves manager who went on a great run after taking over as interim manager on May 17, 2016. Snitker took over a club that went just 9-28 to start the season under Fredi Gonzalez and then went 59-65 the rest of the season.
Snitker oversaw a Braves club that started a run of six straight division titles in 2018 and was named National League Manager of the Year for his efforts. Atlanta went on to win the World Series in 2021 and had back-to-back 100-win seasons in 2022 and 2023.
Prior to taking the managerial position, Snitker skippered the Braves Triple-A affiliate for two seasons. He was previously with Atlanta as the third base coach from 2006-2013. Most of Snitker's coaching experience is at the minor league level. He had a 15-year run as a manager in the minors and won back-to-back league championships with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in 1999 and 2000. Snitker is a Braves lifer, originally joining the organization as a player in 1977.
