About Chris Evert
There have not been many tennis players more successful or beloved than Chris Evert. The former world number one captured 18 Grand Slam singles titles and won 157 times overall. Evert played 56 Grand Slam events in her career and at least reached the semifinals in 52 of them. Her near 90% winning percentage tops all men and women in the modern era of tennis. There were seven years where Evert finished number one in the world. Undoubtedly, her name and accolades are recognized in the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Evert crafted her legendary career as a kid being coached up by her father on the courts of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She now works as a tennis analyst for ESPN and operates the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Florida. Evert hosts a yearly charity pro-celebrity tennis tournament and remains active in the community. Her popularity had stood the test of time as she is still a sought after corporate pitchwoman.
