About Chris Mazdzer
Chris Mazdzer made American Olympic history in 2018 when he took home silver in singles luge competition. He was the first U.S. athlete to ever medal in singles luge. Mazdzer also competed at the Olympics in 2010 and 2014, but finished just 13th each time. He had a significant breakthrough when he won the 2015-16 Luge World Cup Men's singles event at Lake Placid. Mazdzer was part of the first American duo to finish first and second in a World Cup men's singles event. His third-place ranking that World Cup season was the highest finish ever for an American. Mazdzer had finished 5th in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. He has won a total of ten World Cup medals. Mazdzer competed at the World Championships six times and had a career-high finish of fourth in singles and sprint races in 2016. Outside of competition, he is an Athlete Mentor for Classroom Champions.
