Cynt Marshall has spent her life breaking barriers, particularly when it comes to rising up the leadership ladder in corporate America. Her 36-year career with AT&T catapulted her to becoming the first female black CEO in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks in 2018. Marshall built the diversity and inclusion culture at AT&T as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer. She was also previously the President of AT&T North Carolina and while there, she became the first black chair of the North Carolina State Chamber of Commerce. Marshall is a graduate of the University of California and started her trailblazing ways all the way back in college when she was the school's first black cheerleader in 1970.
