About D'Brickashaw Ferguson
D’Brickashaw Ferguson was born in New York, New York in 1983 and grew up to be a remarkable offensive tackle for the New York Jets. Ferguson was recruited by several schools out of high school, including Virginia and Michigan State, but ultimately chose the University of Virginia. As a Cavalier, Ferguson started a total of 49 games and became Virginia's first All-ACC offensive tackle since 1998 while simultaneously obtaining a religious studies degree. To no one’s surprise, he was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft after graduating in a mere three and a half years. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and never missed a start in ten seasons with the Jets. In retirement, Ferguson now works in finance.
