About Don Frye
Don Frye is one of the most well rounded fighters in the world. The Sierra Vista, Arizona native sports a background in wrestling, kickboxing, boxing, and Judo and a combined MMA record of 20-9 with 11 wins by submission and 7 wins by knockout. Frye became interested in mixed martial arts while wrestling at Arizona State University in college. After college he became a firefighter and emergency medical technician and earned the rank of second dan black belt in Judo. He returned to competition in 1995 with the Ultimate Fighting Championship went on to compete in the New Japan Pro Wrestling association and Pride Fighting Championships. In addition to his time in the Octagon he has also pursued a successful acting career, making appearances in such popular movies as Godzilla: Final Wars, No Rules, Miami Vice and The Ant Bully. He has also appeared on the hit show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
