Gabe Kapler

Gabe Kapler has had success on the field, on the bench, and in the front office in professional baseball. Kapler was a 57th-round draft choice but went on to become one of the Detroit Tigers' top prospects and play a 12-year career. The pinnacle of his experience in uniform was being part of the 2004 Boston Red Sox team that broke an 86-year World Series drought.

Kapler retired following the 2010 season, spending time as a broadcaster for Fox Sports and coach of the Israeli national baseball team at the 2013 World Baseball Classic. He then got into the front office as Director of Player Development for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his time with the Dodgers, he became well-known for advocating for clean eating and advanced statistics.

Kapler got his first managerial job with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2018, going 80-82 and 81-81 in his two seasons. He took over the San Francisco Giants in 2020. In his second season, the Giants won 107 games and Kapler was named National League Manager of the Year. He coached the team for two more seasons before joining the Miami Marlins front office as assistant general manager.
