Glen Rice Biography

Glen Rice is an NBA great that is most well known for his days as a three-point sharp shooter with the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets. Prior to his NBA days Rice starred at the University of Michigan and led the Wolverines to an NCAA National Championship. In 1989 his professional basketball dreams came true when the Miami Heat selected him as the 4th overall pick in the 1st round of the NBA Draft. During his first season in Miami he made a splash, averaging 13.6 points and earning NBA All-Rookie Team honors. Over the next 15 seasons he’d establish himself as one of the great three point shooters of all-time, hitting 1,559 threes and hitting 40% of his career shots from outside the arch. His career 18.3 points per game average made him one of the most dominant players of his era. After his career he began promoting MMA fights as the owner of G-Force Fights, based out of Miami, Florida. Rice is also an ambassador and scout for the Heat.
