About Gus Kenworthy
Gus Kenworthy made history in 2015 when he became the first openly gay action sports athlete. He is also one of the most talented skiers in the world. Kenworthy has won the AFP World Championship in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He debuted on the Olympic stage in 2014 and won a silver medal in slopestyle. Kenworthy won his first Winter X Games medal, a bronze, in slopestyle in 2013. He also captured silver medals in slopestyle and superpipe at the 2016 Winter X Games. Kenworthy has had some high-profile moments off the slopes too. In 2017, he participated inThe Challenge: Champs vs.Proson MTV. During his time in Sochi for the 2014 Olympics, he became involved in a highly-publicized story when he rescued a family of five stray dogs.
