About Rosalind Groenewoud
Rosalind Groenewoud is a world champion free skier who competes internationally for Canada. She first took national recognition when she won the gold medal in 2011 at the halfpipe for the FIS Freestyle World Championships. Competing in her signature red lipstick, Groenewoud has compiled a slew of X Games medals that includes the gold medal in the 2012 Games in Aspen in the SuperPipe event and 4 other medals in total. Known for his twists and spins in the air, Groenewoud was the favorite for the new halfpipe event at the 2014 Sochi Olympics leading up to the Games. Prior to the Olympics however, she had to have surgery on both her knees. Although she was able to recover and compete, Groenewoud wasnt as strong as she had shown before but still has a promising career ahead of her.
