About Hines Ward
Hines Ward will always be beloved in Pittsburgh. Ward is the Pittsburgh Steelers’ leader in career receiving yards, catches, and touchdowns. He is a two-time Super Bowl Champion. In Super Bowl XL, Ward had five receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown on the way to MVP honors. The four-time Pro Bowler had six 1,000 yards season. Ward accumulated over 1,000 catches and 10,000 yards in his career, which are among the best totals in NFL history. After a 14 season career spent entirely with the Steelers, he was inducted into the Pittsburgh Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012. While his #86 is not officially retired, it is no longer issued to anyone on the team. Ward was a do-it-all player at Georgia, playing quarterback, running back, and receiver and finishing second in all-purpose yards to Herschel Walker in school history. He is currently a football analyst for NBC Sports. The Hines Ward Foundation also continues to benefit underprivilaged children in Pittsburgh and Atlanta.
