About Jack Morris
Jack Morris is one of the best big-game pitchers in baseball history. He helped three different professional teams win the World Series over his Hall of Fame career. Morris was a frontline starter in the regular season as well, winning 254 games and being named to five All-Star teams.
Morris made his major league debut with the Detroit Tigers in 1977. He spent the entire decade of the 1980s with the franchise, leading the American League in victories during that period. In 1984, Morris went 3-0 during the postseason and recorded two complete-game wins during the World Series.
In 1991, Morris joined his hometown Minnesota Twins and success followed. He went 4-0 during the playoffs and was named World Series MVP. The following year, he pitched for the Toronto Blue Jays and won his third World Series.
Morris finished his career with the Cleveland Indians in 1994. He has spent time in retirement as a broadcaster for the Tigers, Twins, and Blue Jays and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.
