Jacoby Jones Biography

Jacoby Jones, is a former wide receiver in the National Football League. Hewas born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. A victim of Hurricane Katrina, which completely destroyed his entire childhood house and high school, Jones has kept a positive attitude while striving to move forward. He was a notable football, basketball and track high school athlete and originally chose to accept a track scholarship at Southeastern Louisiana University in 2002. Transferring to Lane College to play football in 2003, Jones hasn’t looked back since. He was selected in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, with whom he played for until 2011. Since 2012, Jones has spent his professional career as a Baltimore Raven. As a Raven, he won a Super Bowl Championship in his hometown of New Orleans. He also became a First-team All-Pro, AFC Champion, and Pro Bowl recipient in 2012. He even made an appearance on a season of Dancing With the Stars in February of 2013.
