About Jay Bilas
Jay Bilas is a man of many talents. Those talents include being a former professional basketball player and coach, serving as one of the most popular television sports personalities in the world, and practicing as a lawyer. During his days at Duke University he earned his degree in Political Science and led the Blue Devils to a National Championship on the basketball court in 1986. After college he played in the NBA and overseas and averaged 20 points and 10 boards a game before setting his sights on a career in coaching. While he served as an assistant coach at Duke from 1990 to 1992 he earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and helped lead the Blue Devils to two National Championships. In 1995 he took a job offer from ESPN to serve as a color commentator and analyst for college and NBA basketball and has since become one of the most entertaining personalities in all of sports. Known for his twitter feed, Bilas often tweets out rap lyrics to prove his point while discussing the top news stories of the day. In addition to his broadcasting and law career he also travels the country to speak at events, commencement ceremonies and youth basketball camps.
