Jeff Hostetler

Jeff Hostetler, originally named William Jeffrey Hostetler but more commonly referred to as Jeff or “Hoss”, is a former NFL quarterback. Hostetler was born in Pennsylvania in 1961 and went on to attend Penn State University for a semester before transferring to West Virginia University. After pursuing an honorable collegiate football career as a Mountaineer and graduating with a 3.85 GPA and a degree in Finance from WVU, Hostetler was selected in the third round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Giants. He played with the Giants until 1992, during which time he earned two Super Bowl rings with them and even sang the Star Spangled Banner in Super Bowl XXV, before being traded to the Oakland Raiders. Hostetler was a Pro Bowl selection in 1994 with the Raiders. He was later traded again to the Washington Redskins in 1997 and played with them for his final two seasons. Hostetler retired with an impressive 1,357 of 2,338 completions for 16,430 yards and 94 touchdowns, with 71 interceptions. He now resides in West Virginia with his family, where he owns his own construction company and his son follows in his footsteps as a wide receiver for the West Virginia Mountaineers.
