About Ottis Anderson
Ottis Anderson is a former professional running back for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants of the NFL. Anderson attended the University of Miami on a full athletic scholarship. As a Hurricane, Anderson became the first player to rush for more than 1,000 yards in the school’s history. He was named First-Team AllAmerican and h received All-American honorable mentions. The St. Louis Cardinals selected Anderson as the 8th overall pick in the 1979 NFL Draft. In 1982, the Cardinals made the playoffs for the first time since 1975. Anderson was traded to the New York Giants in the middle of the 1986 season. During his time with the Giants, Anderson won two Super Bowls and he was named the Super Bowl MVP. Anderson’s football career ended in 1993 after 14-years and he began his career in entrepreneurship and motivational speaking. He has been affiliated with many community organizations such as United Way of America, Boys & Girls Clubs of American and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
