About Jeff Sheppard
Jeff Sheppard played professional basketball and won two NCAA championships as a University of Kentucky Wildcats player. Born on September 29, 1974, in Marietta, Georgia, he received the Mr. Georgia Basketball title in 1992 while playing at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. Sheppard joined the University of Kentucky basketball team from 1993 until 1998 where he helped the Wildcats win their national championships in 1996 and 1998. During the 1998 NCAA Tournament Sheppard received the Most Outstanding Player award for the Final Four by scoring 27 points in the semifinals and 16 points in the championship match.
Sheppard joined the Atlanta Hawks for one NBA season in 1998–99 where he scored 2.2 points while grabbing 1.2 rebounds across 18 games. After his NBA career Sheppard moved to Italy where he played for Benetton Treviso and Cordivari Roseto and Würth Roma until his retirement in 2001 because of the September 11 attacks which made him choose to live with his family in London Kentucky.
Sheppard has dedicated himself to business and community activities since his retirement from sports. He established 15inc. with his wife Stacey Reed who played for the Kentucky women's basketball team as a private label apparel company. The Sheppards operate Sheppards Fan Shop in London, Kentucky which provides officially licensed University of Kentucky merchandise to customers. Through his "Shoot Hoops, Not Drugs" basketball camps Sheppard dedicates his time to educating children about drug dangers. Wazoo Sports hired Sheppard as their vice president for business development to focus on Kentucky sports content for their regional television sports network.
Sheppard and his wife Stacey Reed have two children while living in London, Kentucky. The Houston Rockets selected Reed Sheppard to their 2024 NBA Draft after he played basketball at the University of Kentucky following his father Jeff Sheppard.
