About Jim Fox
Jim Fox has made a lasting legacy in hockey in Los Angeles. He played nine seasons in the National Hockey League, all for the Los Angeles Kings. He played in 578 regular seasons games, accumulating 479 points. That mark places him inside the top ten on the all-time team scoring chart.Fox also went to the playoffs five times with the Kings. The franchise originally selected him tenth overall in the 1980 NHL Draft. Immediately following his retirement due to a knee injury in 1990, he became a broadcaster for the Kings. Fox still serves as an analyst for the club today on Fox Sports West. He has been in the booth for over a quarter-century. Initially when Fox retired, he was the Kings Director of Community Relations for four years as well. He remains active in the community and is currently the Comissioner of the Los Angeles Kings High School Hockey League.
