About Jim Grobe
Jim Grobe is the former head football coach at Wake Forest and Ohio. Grobe gained great notoriety for doing more with less while with the Demon Deacons. He guided the school to an 11-3 record and an ACC title in 2006. Wake Forest went to the Orange bowl and Grobe was named ACC Coach of the Year and three national Coach of the Year awards. He was 33-33-1 at Ohio before getting the job at Wake in 2001. While with the Bobcats, Grobe was the Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year in 1996. Prior to becoming a head coach, he was a longtime linebackers coach at Air Force. Grobe also coached the position at Marshall and Emory & Henry. His coaching career started with a graduate assistant job at his alma mater Virginia before two seasons as a high school head coach. Grobe was a two-year starter for the Cavaliers after coming over from Ferrum Junior College. He is currently a college football analyst for Fox Sports South.
