About Joe Horn
Joe Horn played his prep football at Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina and took his talents to Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. After a standout college career in which he caught 54 catches for 878 yards and seven touchdowns he had no NFL interest and returned home to work in Fayetteville. However, in 1995 he caught on with the Shreveport Pirates and Memphis Mad Dogs in the CFL and gained the attention of NFL Scouts. In 1996 he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and went on to have a successful 11-year career in the NFL with the Chiefs, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons from 1996 to 2007. During his career he tallied 603 receptions for 8,744 yards and 58 touchdowns in route to earning four consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2000 to 2004. During his standout seven year stint with the Saints from 2000 to 2006 he recorded four seasons of 1,200 yards receiving and earned a spot in the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame.
