About John Sullivan
John Sullivan was born in New York and raised in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. During his high school days he established himself as one of the top prep offensive lineman in the country, and displayed his athleticism by finishing as the runner-up in the New England High School Wrestling Championships in the heavyweight division. After high school he played at the University of Notre Dame from 2004 to 2007 and continued to shine as the center for the Fighting Irish. In 2008 he was selected in the 6th round of the NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, and has been a mainstay on their offensive line ever since. After signing a five-year, $25 million contract extension with the Vikings in 2011 he had a an All-Pro year in 2012, leading the way for Adrian Peterson to rush for 2,097 yards that season. Sullivan battles week in and week out and serves as the captain on the Vikings offensive line, making the calls that have led to their success at football most elite level.
