Joker Phillips

Joker Phillips has been a college football coach for 25 years and is recognized as one of the top offensive minds in the game. Prior to beginning his coaching career he was a standout wide receiver at the University of Kentucky from 1981 to 1984. Upon finishing his career at Kentucky as the Wildcats fifth ranked receiver of alltime he headed to the Washington Redskins from 1985 to 1987 before returning to Kentucky as a graduate assistant in 1988. Phillips served as an assistant at his alma mater from 1988 to 1996 an then joined the Cincinnati coaching staff from 1997 to 1998. He then served as the wide receivers coach at Minnesota, Notre Dame and South Carolina from 199 to 2002 before again returning home to Kentucky. After seven more seasons as an assistant he was named head coach of the Wildcats in 2010. During his first year as head coach he led his team to a bowl appearance and would go on to win 13 games in three seasons. In 2012 he was hired at the University of Florida as the Gators new wide receivers coach. He remained at Florida until 2013.
