Jose Reyes

Jose Reyes was one of the most dynamic and entertaining players in Major League Baseball throughout his career. A native of Santiago, Dominican Republic, Reyes made his MLB Debut with the New York Mets in 2003 and has established himself as a superstar shortstop. During his first nine seasons with the Mets, he earned four All-Star selections, led the National League in triples four times and stolen bases three times, won the 2011 NL Batting Title and earned a silver slugger award in 2006 as the leagues top hitting shortstop. Prior to being traded to the Miami Marlins in 2012 he broke the Mets all-time records for most career triples and stolen bases. Reyes’ best year in a Mets uniform came in 2006 when he hit .300 with 19 homeruns, 30 doubles and a league leading 17 triples, 64 stolen bases and 122 runs scored. Reyes was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2012 after signing a six-year, $106 million contract with the Marlins in 2011. He spent three seasons with the Blue Jays and one with the Colorado Rockies before returningi to the Mets to end his career from 2016-18.
