About Julian Peterson
Julian Peterson played 10 seasons in the National Football League with the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions from 2000 to 2010. During that span he was named to the Pro Bowl five times and earned NFL All-Pro honors three times at the linebacker position. After starring at Crossland High School in Maryland he played two seasons at Valley Forge Military Academy and College, where he recorded 39.5 sacks and earned NJCAA First Team All-American honors before heading to Michigan State University. While playing for the Spartans he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors and All-American honors after recording 140 tackles and 25 sacks in 23 career games. Peterson was selected in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the 49ers and played the first five seasons of his career in San Francisco before heading to Seattle for two years. He retired in 2010 as a member of the Detroit Lions with 756 career tackles, 51.5 career sacks and eight career interceptions.
