About Kaʻimi Fairbairn
Kaʻimi" Fairbairn is an NFL placekicker for the Houston Texans. A two-sport star at Punahou School, he excelled in football and soccer, earning first-team all-state honors and helping win two state soccer championships. Initially uninterested in football, he returned after a brief, unsuccessful try at water polo. He ranked the No. 4 kicker nationally, chose UCLA, became a consensus first-team All-American in 2015, won the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top kicker, and scored the Pac-12 record for career points (413).
Undrafted in 2016, Fairbairn signed with the Texans but missed his rookie season due to a quadriceps injury. Named the starting kicker in 2017, he has become one of the NFL's most reliable, with an 87.1% field goal rate and 92.4% extra-point rate through 2024.
