About Ken Shamrock
Ken Shamrock was a mixed martial arts trailblazer. Shamrock’s victory at UFC 6 over Dan Severn made him the first Superfight Champion. His early rivalry and bout at UFC 1 with Royce Gracie was legendary. Gracie and Shamrock were the first two members of the UFC Hall of Fame. Shamrock also had great success in Japanese MMA and was the first American King of Pancrase. He founded the successful Lion’s Den gym that still exists today and has expanded to other cities. His adopted brother Frank was also an early MMA star and the first UFC Middleweight Champion. Shamrock’s MMA popularity fed well into his wrestling career. He had successful runs in both the WWF and TNA. Shamrock won the WWF Intercontinental Championship, King of the Ring, and is considered the first champion in TNA history. Even at 51 years old, he continues to fight competitively in a variety of disciplines.
