Koby Altman Biography

Koby Altman is the general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has grown up in the basketball world working in the Cavaliers organization. Altman originally joined the Cleveland front office in 2012. He was director of pro personnel for the franchise when they won the 2016 NBA championship. The following season, Altman was promoted to assistant general manager. He was promoted to the general manager chair in 2017. Altman wasted no time on the job, swinging a blockbuster trade that netted the Cavaliers All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas. Prior to joining Cleveland, he spent time as an assistant coach in college basketball with Amherst, Southern Illinois and Columbia. Altman was a three-year starting point guard at Middlebury College.
