Kyle Schwarber

Kyle Schwarber has been a feared power hitter since debuting with the Chicago Cubs in 2015. He played college baseball for the Indiana Hoosiers and was selected by the Cubs in the first round of the 2014 MLB Draft. Schwarber's three multi-homer games in 2015 were the most for a Cubs rookie in his first 51 games played since 1914. He finished the 2015 regular season having played 69 games, recording a .246 batting average with 16 home runs, 52 runs scored, and 43 RBIs. In the National League Wild Card Game, Schwarber drove in three runs and hit a long two-run home run to help the Cubs defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4–0, and advance to the Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. In the NLDS, Schwarber helped the Cubs to a 3-1 series victory with 2 home runs, including a mammoth game 4 shot that landed on top of the Wrigley Field scoreboard in right field.

Schwarber achieved an even more incredible feat the following season. After tearing his ACL and LCL at the beginning of the year, he returned to help Chicago win their first World Series in 108 years. Schwaber finished the series with a .412 batting average and was the first person in baseball history to get his first hit of the season in the Fall Classic. He continued to produce for the Cubs until 2021, when he was signed by the Washington Nationals and became an All-Star for the first time. Schwarber was the June National League Player of the Month after batting .330 with 16 home runs in 18 games. Despite the tremendous output, he was dealt to the Boston Red Sox at the trade deadline. Schwarber signed with the Philadelphia Phillies the following season.
