About Landry Jones
Landry Jones is a football quarterback for the XFL's Dallas Desperados. Jones attended the University of Oklahoma from 2008-2012 where he played for the Sooners’ football team. In his freshman year during 2008, Jones was redshirted. In the 2009 season opener against BYU, Jones was the starting quarterback for the Sooners, since starting quarterback Sam Bradford was out with an injury. Jones continued to start while Bradford was out. On January 5, 2012, Jones announced that he would be returning to Oklahoma for his senior season. During his senior season, Jones led the Sooners to a 10-2 record. Jones and the Sooners faced Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl Classic, where they lost 41-13. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Jones as the 115th overall pick, during the 4th round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons as the backup in Pittsburgh.
