About Leonard Williams
Leonard Williams is a defensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks. Williams was traded to the Seahawks in 2023 after spending parts of five seasons with the New York Giants. He had several highlights with the Giants, including a career-high 11.5 sacks in his first full season there in 2020.
Williams spent the first four seasons of his career with the New York Jets after they selected with the sixth pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He had early success, getting selected for the PFWA All-Rookie Team and making the Pro Bowl a year later.
Coming into the league, he was billed as the best defensive prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft.Williams had a storied career at the University of Southern California.He was a two-time first-team All-Pac 12 and first-team All-American.
Williams played three seasons at USC and after an eight-sack first season he was Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. He attended powerhouse Mainland High School in Florida and had 10.5 sacks as a senior.Williams was a four-star recruit and considered one of the best defensive ends in his class per Rivals.com.
