About Logan Morrison
Logan Morrison was born in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2005 he was selected in the 22nd round of the 2005 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Florida Marlins out of Northshore High School in Slidell, Louisiana, but chose instead to attend Maple Woods Community College. However, after a stellar freshman season at Maple Woods in which he hit .436 with nine homeruns and 45 RBI he signed with the Marlins as a draft-and-follow signee and began his professional baseball career. Over the next three seasons he became a top major league prospect and earned a call-up to the Marlins in 2010. During his first season in the big leagues he hit .283 with 18 RBI in 287 plate appearances, and would eventually become a mainstay in the Marlins line-up until being traded to the Seattle Marines in 2014. His best season to date came in 2011 when he launched 23 homeruns and drove in 72 runs for the Marlins.
