About Marcus Lattimore
Marcus Lattimore is a former NFL running back and college star at South Carolina. For the Gamecocks, Lattimore was a two-time All-SEC pick. In 2010, he won SEC Rookie of the Year and ran for 1,197 yards and 17 touchdowns. Lattimore holds the South Carolina career record for rushing touchdowns. He unfortunately suffered three torn ligaments in his right knee against Tennessee his junior year and would never be the same player. Lattimore was drafted in the fourth round by the San Francisco 49ers, but after just two years, retired from football due to the injuries. He never played a down in the NFL. Through adversity, his positive outlook despite the obstacle became a point of inspiration for many. Lattimore was one of the best high school players in South Carolina history and attended noted power Byrnes High School. There he was a USA Today All-American and Mr. Football in South Carolina his senior season.
