About Michael Penix Jr.
Michael Penix Jr. is a star quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons who was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Penix built an incredible legacy in college as a two-year starter at the University of Washington. He went 25-3 as a starter for the Huskies and led them to the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
In that final season, Penix won the Maxwell Award, leading the NCAA with nearly 5,000 yards passing. He also put up over 4,000 yards passing in 2022 on the way to winning AP Comeback Player of the Year.
In his first college stop, Penix made the Indiana Hoosiers a contender in the Big Ten. In 2020, he took the next step, playing in six games while throwing for 1,645 yards and 14 touchdowns on the way to second-team All-Big 10 honors. He rebounded from multiple ACL tears while in Bloomington.
