About Mike Gundy
Mike Gundy got his start in college football at Oklahoma State University. During his time with the Cowboys as a player he became the all-time leading passer in Oklahoma State and Big 8 Conference history, throwing for 7,997 yards and 49 touchdowns. Upon earning his degree from Oklahoma State in 1989 he joined the Cowboys coaching staff and has since worked his way up to becoming their head coach. In 1990 he served as their wide receivers coach, then became their quarterbacks coach from 1991 to 1993 and offensive coordinator from 1994 to 1995. From 1996 to 2000 he left his alma mater to serve as the quarterbacks coach at Baylor and wide receivers coach at Maryland. In 2001 he returned to Oklahoma State for good, serving as their offensive coordinator from 2001 to 2004 until being hired as their head coach in 2005. In 2011 he was named Big 12 coach of the Year after leading the Cowboys to a Big 12 championship.
