Mike Hart joined the Indianapolis Colts as a sixth round selection out of the University of Michigan in 2008. Hart signed with Michigan out of Onondaga Central High School in Syracuse, New York, where he led his team to a 46-1 career record with 11,045 rushing yards and a national record 204 rushing touchdowns and 1,246 points. After graduating top five in his class he headed to the University of Michigan and posted the most rushing yards in a season by a freshman with 1,455. During his junior season he added 1,562 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. His 5,040 career rushing yards are the most in Michigan history and his 41 career touchdowns are third best ever. During his college career he earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors in 2004 and All-Big Ten honors in 2004, 2006 and 2007. Upon joining the Colts in 2008 he played two seasons in the NFL and helped his team to an AFC Championship in 2009. After the 2011 season he signed on as the offensive quality control coach at Eastern Michigan University and went on to serve as their running backs coach in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 he was hired as the running backs coach at Western Michigan University.
