About Neal Brown
Neal Brown is the head football coach at North Texas. Brown previously guided West Virginia fox six seasons, going 37-35 with one top 25 finish.
Brown garnered notoriety in coaching circles during his time at Troy University. He had three ten-win seasons in four years as head coach.
In 2017, the Trojans won the Sun Belt Conference and he was named Sun Belt Coach of the Year. Prior to becoming a head coach, Brown had stints as an offensive coordinator at Texas Tech and Kentucky.
He had previously been on Larry Blakeney's Troy staff from 2006-2009. Brown also spent time as an assistant at Sacred Heart and Delaware early in his career. He started his coaching career at his alma mater, UMass, in 2003. In addition to playing two seasons for the Minutemen, he also was a player in the Kentucky football program for three years.
