About Nick Collins
Nick Collins is a former football safety who played for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. Collins attended Bethune-Cookman University where he played football. In 2003, Collins became a full-time starter for the Wildcats and he started 11 of the 12 games. He also had a breakout season in 2003 as he led the MidEastern Athletic Conference in interceptions and finished third in the conference in passes defended. The Green Bay Packers selected Collins in the second round as the 51st overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Collins spent his entire 7 seasons career with the Packers. During this time he was a 3x Pro Bowl selection, 3x Second-team AllPro, NFL interception return yards leader, NFC interceptions co-leader, ED Block Courage Award winner in 2009m NFC Champion in 2010 and Super Bowl XLV Champion. The Packers released Collins from the team due to concerns about his ability to return to football after suffering a severe neck injury. On August 20, 2014, Collins officially announced his retirement from the NFL.
