About Nick Lowery
Nick Lowery also known as Nick the Kick is a former professional football placekicker for the NFL. Lowery attended Dartmouth College where he received an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is the first professional athlete to graduate from there. The New England Patriots signed Lowery as an undrafted free agent in 1978. After spending one season with the Patriots, Lowery then signed with the Kansas City Chiefs where he spent 14 seasons and he finished off his career with the New York Jets from 1994-1996. During his career, Lowery was an All-Pro seven times, a 3x Pro Bowl selection as well as a 2x First-Team AllPro. He has set many records including most field goals all time with 384, most 50- yard field goals, most games with two or more 50 yarders, and longest field goal in the first quarter. In 2007, he was an NFL Hall of Fame nominee and in 2009, he was inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame.
