About Ozzie Canseco
Ozzie Canseco is a former professional baseball pitcher, and is the identical twin brother of baseballlegend Jose Canseco. Ozzie began his professional career when he was drafted by the New York Yankeesin the second round of the 1983 MLB draft. He would not break into the Major Leagues until 1990 withthe Oakland Athletics, only playing a few games before being sent down to the minor leagues. In 1991,Canseco traveled to Japan to play for the Kintetsu Buffaloes of the NPB, the highest form of professionalbaseball in Japan. Canseco returned to the MLB in 1992 with the St. Louis Cardinals, playing there fortwo seasons before leaving baseball. In 2001, he signed with the Lotte Giants of the KBO baseball leaguein Japan, lasting one season. Canseco transitioned to a coaching role, and has coached for various semi professionalteams over his ten years as coach.
