About Rick Rhoden
While Rick Rhoden is known best for his major league career, he is also a successful professional golfer. At the young age of 21 Rhoden made it to the big leagues with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his career he pitched in 413 games recording a 151-125 record with a 3.59 earned run average and 1,419 strikeouts. Rhoden was known as an outstanding hitting pitcher. In his career he had an 11 game hitting streak which is one of the longest all-time streaks for a pitcher. He also won two Silver Slugger Awards and became a two time All-Star selection. After retiring from playing baseball professionally in 1989, Rick began to play golf regularly. Rhoden has since been a part of and dominated play in the Celebrity Players Tour, qualified for the United States Senior Open, and played several Champions Tour events where he has earned three top ten finishes.
