About Ricky Watters
Prior to making it all the way to the National Football League, Ricky Watters played football at the University of Notre Dame where he was a highly recruited player. In just his second season with the team he led the squad to the Fiesta Bowl and the schools 11th national championship, cementing his place as one of the best in the game at the time. He was drafted in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft and played a total of ten seasons in the NFL. He played for the 49ers, Eagles, and Seahawks in his career in route to racking up 10,643 rushing yards for an average of 4.1 yards per carry and 78 touchdowns. He was known for his outstanding receiving skills as well as his unique high-step running style. That along with his success on the field earned him 3 UPI Second-Team All-NFC selections, 5 Pro Bowl nods, and he led his team to the Super Bowl XXIX Championship.
