About Robbie Ray
Robbie Ray is a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. He was originally selected by the Washington Nationals out of high school in the 2010 MLB Draft. Ray was traded as a prospect to the Detroit Tigers and made his major league debut with them in 2014. That offseason, he was acquired via trade by the Diamondbacks. Ray became a reliable starting pitcher in Arizona. During the first half of the 2017 season, he went 8-4 with a 3.06 ERA and was named an All-Star. Ray was traded to the Blue Jays during the 2020 season, where he subsequently became the American League Cy Young Award winner.
