About Roberto Clemente Jr.
Roberto Clemente Jr. is a former professional baseball player and baseball broadcaster. Clemente Jr moved from his home in Puerto Rico to Florida to attend a community college, where he was spotted by a Philadelphia Phillies scout. He ended up signing with the organization and joined the teams division-A team in 1985. Sadly Clemente Jr. never made it to the majors due to a series of injuries including a time when he had to have three knee surgeries in three years. Robertos career was ended when he suffered a serious back injury which paralyzed him for a week. Roberto signed on to be a broadcaster for the New York Yankees in 1997 on television and also on the radio. Roberto then became a sideline reporter for ESPN Deportes in 1998. Clemente Jr became the host of the MLB's Spanish version of the MLB network television show Baseball Max in 2001. Because of his work in the forefront of new Brain Technology, Roberto became a member of the board for The National Hispanic Health Foundation in 2013, and currently Clemente Jr is the ambassador for RC21X.
