About Shane Victorino
Shane Victorino is beloved in Philadelphia after playing 8 seasons for the Phillies and helping them to a World Series Championship in 2008. Throughout his 12-year big league career, Victorino was a solid top-of-the-lineup hitter with speed and a great glove in the outfield.
A two-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove Award winner, Victorino showed up every day ready to play and has earned the respect of his teammates both with his attitude and work ethic. In 2013, Victorino signed with the Red Sox and ended up winning a second World Series ring, helping the Sox to a 4-2 series win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
While playing primary center field in the big leagues, he has earned four Gold Glove Awards and the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award in 2008 and Branch Rickey Award in 2011 for his integrity and character while contributing to his community.
